Naomi Lewis is regarded as one of the foremost authorities on Hans Christian Andersen, and has translated a significant amount of his work during her long-standing career as a writer, poet and critic. An expert in her field, she has been awarded the Eleanor Farjeon Award for her services to children's literature. Naomi lives in London. Yvonne Gilbert studied at Newcastle College and Liverpool College of Art, and graduated with a diploma in Art And design. She worked as a lecturer for five years before becoming a professional illustrator in 1978. Yvonne has won international acclaim for her expressive artwork and has exhibited in galleries all over the world. She lives in Newcastle with her partner Danny, her son Thomas and their pets.
