Yvonne Gilbert studied at Newcastle College and Liverpool College of Art, and graduated with a diploma in Art And design. She worked as a lecturer for five years before becoming a professional illustrator in 1978. Yvonne has won international acclaim for her expressive artwork and has exhibited in galleries all over the world. She lives in Newcastle with her partner Danny, her son Thomas and their pets.
