Wildmind by Bodhipaksa
Developed from the on-line meditation course, this book gets you started straight away, offering a practical approach to meditation for complete beginners. Wildmind is as spacious as a clear blue sky, as still as a lake at dawn; such a mind is a source of richness and fulfilment. It is a mind that is free, spontaneous and abundantly creative. This is a guidebook to that inner wilderness. Here, the reader can discover: how to sit for meditation and a posture workshop; walking meditation, body awareness and relaxation; thorough guidelines to two traditional meditations; how and why regular meditation can help and how to bring its results into everyday life; and trouble shooting tips and ideas developed by Bodhipaksa and his students over many years.
A native of Scotland(born as Graeme Stephen), Bodhipaksa graduated from Glasgow University in 1984, having studied at the Glasgow Veterinary School since 1979. He has been practising Buddhist meditation for 20 years and has been teaching meditation for more than 10 years, including two years in the University of Montana's religious studies program. Bodhipaksa currently resides in New Hampshire, USA.
