Willow Buds No. 1: The Tale Of Toad And Badger by Mary Jane Begin

Discover the world before The Wind in the Willows, when the childhood adventures of best buds Ratty, Toady, Badger and Mole were just beginning! The first tale in the Willow Buds series features Toady and Badger when they first met as youngsters. They learn that though friends don't always get along, having a true pal to share in adventure is worth getting through the rocky times. Mrs. B. starts as a nanny at Toad Hall, and she brings her son Badger along with her. Toady, spoiled and without any friends, isn't so sure he wants to share his mansion with ANYONE. But gentle Badger is patient and eager to make a new friend...that is, of course, until Toady ruins the thing dearest to Badger's heart: his stuffed toy, Andy. With the help of Mrs. B., they sew Andy back together, and Badger and Toady begin a friendship that will last a lifetime!
