Winnie's Big Bad Robot by Valerie Thomas
Winnie the Witch is very pleased when she magics her cardboard robot into a real one. Beep, beep! But when the naughty robot takes Winnie's wand, things start to get totally out of control. It's up to Wilbur, Winnie's lovable cat, to stop the magical mayhem and save the day. A delightful new picture book featuring everyone's favourite witch, and her clever cat.
'You can easily spend ages looking at each page.. A wonderful book to share as a family or with a class.' The Bookbag '25 years on, Winnie the Witch is still at the top of her game... Korky Paul's joyous illustrations are brimming with a sense of fun' Damian Kelleher, Dad Info 'With sparse, simple text and plenty to look at it can be enjoyed by everyone.' Carousel
Since creating her character in Winnie the Witch, Valerie Thomas has taken Winnie on all kinds of adventures: on her broomstick and on a flying carpet, with a baby dragon and a giant pumpkin, under the sea and even into outer space! Valerie, who lives in Australia, doesn't own a broomstick herself, but she has travelled to most parts of the world. Korky Paul, born in Zimbabwe, is a well-known illustrator. His drawings appear in more than 25 Winnie the Witch books, as well as many other poetry anthologies and picture books. Known only to himself as 'the world's greatest portrait artist', Korky visits schools to promote his passion for drawing. He lives in Oxford with his wife where he regularly cooks on the 'braai'.
