Billy Taylor worked as an electrician on Lifetime Network's Good Sex with Dr Ruth after graduating from film school. Billy became a dolly grip out of a desire to get closer to what was happening in front of the camera, and spent the next decade working on scores of films and television shows, including Pee Wee's Playhouse and My Cousin Vinny. He worked for a boutique Wall Street consulting firm after his grip career was cut short due to a back ailment. He and his wife became tired of it and moved to South Central Texas, where he began writing full-time. He's now a stay-at-home parent who writes in between diaper changes, which he says is eerily similar to much of the job he did on the set of a movie.
