Winston Churchill by Henry Pelling
Winston Churchill is probably still the best-known Prime Minister of Great Britain and one of the most popular leaders of the twentieth century. Instantly recognizable by voice and appearance, this influential politician led a varied and fascinating life. A reporter during the Boer War, a minister and a member of the Admiralty, Churchill is however most famed for his leadership during the Second World War. This biography describes the years in power, the periods in the political wilderness, the writing, beliefs and the personal life of one of the world's most famous men.
