She received her MA in Environment and Community from Antioch University-Seattle, where she was named Outstanding Alumna in 2009 and now serves on the Board of Trustees. Her first book, The Northwest Green House Primer, was published in 2008. EMERGE: A Strategic Leadership Model for the Sustainable Building Community is her second book.
