The Witch's Dog and the Flying Carpet by Frank Rodgers
An old magic carpet causes all sorts of trouble for Wilf, the Witch's Dog and his friends. Sly Cat and Tricky Toad don't help - they are back to their old sneaky ways. First some magic just sends Streaky flying into the air, then a magical carpet turns into a jungle complete with its very own tiger! Finally Wilf goes on a magical, but dangerous roller-coaster ride. It's a good job that Wilf is so clever - he puts everything right and even has a brilliant idea about what to do with the old flying carpet.
Frank Rodgers grew up reading RUPERT BEAR and EAGLE comics and admired the work of artists like Frank Hampson, who drew the original DAN DARE strips. Frank drew a lot and loved inventing funny characters. After studying art and becoming an art teacher, he became a full-time illustrator. He illustrates the successful MR MAJEIKA books and has written and illustrated many of his own titles. Frank lives in Glasgow.
