Glenn Greenwald is the author of numerous best-selling books, including How Would a Patriot Act Work? and How Would a Patriot Act Work? Greenwald is a former constitutional law and civil rights attorney who has been named one of The Atlantic's 25 most important political analysts and one of Foreign Policy's Top 100 Global Thinkers for 2013. He worked as a columnist for The Guardian until October 2013, and is now working to establish a new media company. He appears frequently on CNN, MSNBC, and other television and radio stations. His 2013 NSA investigation received multiple prizes, including the highest investigative journalism award from the Internet Journalism Association, the Esso Award for Excellence in Reporting (the Brazilian equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize), and the Electronic Frontier Foundation's 2013 Pioneer Award.

He was also the first recipient of the I.F. For his investigative work on Bradley Manning's arrest and confinement, he received the Stone Award for Independent Journalism in 2009 and the Internet Journalism Association Award in 2010. His work has featured in various newspapers and political news publications, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and The American Conservative.
