Within My Branches by Nicolas Michel
'I used to be ever so small, hardly as high as a dandelion. Until I grew tall enough to tickle the clouds.' Telling the life story of a single tree, and of all the creatures that have nestled in its branches, this is a gorgeously illustrated?ode to the web of life that connects everything in the natural world.
'The narrator of this beautiful black-and-white picturebook is a 457-year-old oak tree.. On every page a sentence in red and a splendid illustration bring to life a creature that has found refuge [in its branches]' - Le Monde
'The author uses simple language and elegant black and white illustrations to reveal the extraordinary in the familiar. A real poetic gem' - La Croix
'An ode to respect for nature and the cycle of life' - Page des libraires
'A story to fall in love with... This magnificent picturebook highlights the balance within nature between plant and animal life' - NTV
