The Wolf of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort
Stock market multimillionaire at 26, federal convict at 36, he partied like a rock star, lived like a King, and barely survived his rise and fall as an American entrepreneurial icon.
Jordan Belfort grew up in a middle class family in Queens, NY. He had a gift for earning money from an early age, and put himself through college by saving $20,000 each summer selling Italian ices, while his friends could only save $500. A natural born seller, he moved on to the meat and seafood industry, building a lucrative business, then running it into the ground. He was bankrupt by 26, when he found his way to Wall Street. He built one of the largest brokerages in America, Stratton Oakmont, and with a skyrocketing income so too came a heavy drug dependency and life of hedonism. He was indicted and spent nearly two years in prison. Married and divorced twice, Jordan has two children and lives in Los Angeles.
