Sam Thompson teaches creative writing at Queen's University, Belfast, in Ireland. His debut novel, Communion Town, was longlisted for the Booker Prize. Wolfstongue is his first book for children. The book was inspired by his son's difficulties with speech.

Sam Thompson lives in Belfast, where he teaches English and creative writing at Queens University. His first novel Communion Town was longlisted for the 2012 Man Booker Prize. Jott was shortlisted for the 2019 Encore Award.
