Luigi Boitani is the head of the University of Rome's Department of Animal and Human Biology and an expert on wolves. He's worked on a number of research and conservation projects involving the Italian wolf population, which has seen a tremendous recovery in the previous thirty years. He has over 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications and eight books to his credit.
