Women's Rights, Human Rights by J S Peters

This comprehensive and important volume includes contributions by activists, journalists, lawyers and scholars from twenty-one countries. The essays map the directions the movement for women's rights is taking--and will take in the coming decades--and the concomittant transformation of prevailing notions of rights and issues. They address topics such as the rapes in former Yugoslavia and efforts to see that a War Crimes Tribunal responds; domestic violence; trafficking of women into the sex trade; the persecution of lesbians; female genital mutilation; and reproductive rights.

"Peters and Wolper have assembled authors who report on their direct experiences with the effects of cultural, social, and economic practices on womenThe descriptions in many of these brief reports are honed by keen feminist analysis, giving the reader the essential evidence to build the case for women's rights as poart of the world's human rights agenda." -- Women & Politics
"Although women have been fighting for rights for centuries, the struggle for women's human rights is a recent campaign of the international women's movement. Women's Rights, Human Rights offers abundant information and significant analysis to our understanding of this complex and dynamic struggle for women's human rights." -- Joanna Kerr, The North South Institute

Teachers give information to students, coaches provide information while providing an action plan to achieve success. I have been coaching people for 20 years. Starting with outdoor education in summer camps where I was preparing young people to survive in the wilderness. From there I took rolls as a gymnastics coach, youth counsellor, and hockey coach. After a 10 year career in the corporate world as a training specialist, I fullfilled the dream of becoming a Golf Professional, both driving my own game as well as those of all of my students. Then to the alpine, becoming a ski and snowboard instructor specializing in working with disabled athletes and adding sitskiing and 3 &4 tracking skills help coach people to what ever they desired, from weekend warriors to Olympic hopefulls. My passion as a coach is fueled when I can help people take massive action to envoke change in their lives. Currently I coaching men privately on being better in their intimate relationships. Working with people in the their personal relationships is the foundation to unleashing the unique genius that all possess.
