It's winter time and all the Little Friends are getting ready to go to sleep. But first they are going to have a big party. Flora Frog gets everyone to tidy the clearing. Bella Bee polishes the mushrooms and Bennie Bug, Leah Ladybird and Betsy Beetle gather food to eat. Sammy Spider puts up cobwebs for the Glow-worms to hang from as they are going to light up the clearing with their tails. Godfrey Grasshopper sends Freddie Fly to ask Jenny Wren, Basil Blue Tit, Timmy Tortoise and Dora Dormouse to come to the party. And Annie Ant, Abby Ant, Alex Ant and Andy Ant are bringing their musical instruments to play so the Little Friends can dance. Of course, there is always one Little Friend who really looks forward to the Christmas Ball and that is Sarah Butterfly. She loves parties. Do you?

Brady, Ann: - Ann Brady was born in Yorkshire, but now lives in Cardiff Bay. She has been a writer for over thirty years. During her working life Ann created, developed, and ran one of the first successful, award-winning retail websites in the UK to which she contributed over 200 plus pieces of non-fiction editorial. Her work was also included in magazines, national newspapers and educational booklets. She has organised and hosted many exhibitions and is a speaker of some standing, something she has continued to do since retiring. Apart from writing non-fiction, Ann has in recent years developed an organisation titled www.mentoringwriters.co.uk which aims to help new and developing writers hone their writing skills. She works with writers of all ages across the world. For writers under 18, mentorship is done through the www.kids4kids.org.uk organisation. As an author, Ann has published a total of 18 Children's Picture Story Books, Mystery Story Books, which includes the original Doyle's Casebook, and an award-winning Historical Fiction Novel. Ann is currently working on two Historical Fiction novels due to be released shortly.
