Percy W. Blanford is the author of 112 books and 4,000 articles on woodworking, metalworking and yachting. Trained as an engineer in the 20's and 30's, the depression forced Blandford into technical teaching and writing. During WWII he served in the RAF writing reference manuals for aircraft. After the war he began writing for American yachting and woodworking magazines. Percy still has a woodshop outfitted with modern tools and machinery as well as family heirlooms.
