Sally Bushell (introduction) is Professor of Romantic and Victorian Literature and co-director of The Wordsworth Centre at Lancaster University (on the edge of the Lake District). She has a long-standing research interest in Wordsworth’s poetry and his representation of the layered meanings of place, space and region. She is also editor of the Cambridge Companion to Lyrical Ballads (2019).
