Ken was born in 1938 in Toronto, Canada. He was raised in the Catholic faith and attended Catholic schools from elementary through university. Ken taught high school English and was a guidance counselor for 32 years. He has been married to Louise for 50 years and has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. He is a freelance journalist and is very active as a volunteer in his community.
