Tom Wood was Deputy Chief Constable and Director of Operations of Lothian and Borders Police and Officer-in-Overall Command of the linked murder investigation into the deaths of a number of young women, including Helen Scott and Christine Eadie. He has a distinguished record of study of police operations and management and was awarded The Queen's Police Medal in 1995.

David Johnston has been a journalist in Scotland for over 20 years, spending most of that time as Head of News with Radio Forth.
