David Gariff is an art historian and lecturer in the Education Division at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. He is also an adjunct faculty member in art history at The Catholic University of America. Prior to his appointment at the National Gallery, he was associate professor of art history at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He has taught art history at Cleveland State University, Trinity University in Washington, DC and the University of Maryland, College Park, where he received his PhD.
