Philip Gerard is the author of four novels and seven nonfiction works, the most recent of which is The Art of Creative Research--A Field Guide for Writers (BkMk Press, 2017), as well as the novel The Dark of the Island and the novel THINGS WE DO WHILE NO ONE IS WATCHING (BkMk Press, 2017). He is a professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington's Department of Creative Writing.
