The 2008 global financial crisis has led to the re-emergence in public discourse of the idea that capitalism could end. Alastair Hemmens is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the Cardiff University School of Modern Languages. He gained his PhD in French and Comparative Studies at the University of London Institute in Paris. Hemmens lives in Cardiff, Wales.
