The Wrong Case by James Crumley

James Crumley was born in Three Rivers, Texas, and grew up in South Texas for the majority of his life. After three years in the United States, He joined the English faculty at the University of Montana at Missoula after serving in the Army and earning degrees in history (BA, Texas College of Arts and Industries) and creative writing (MFA, University of Iowa). He also taught at a number of other universities across the country, including the University of Texas at El Paso, Colorado State University, Reed College, and Carnegie-Mellon University. One to Count Cadence is a Vietnam novel, while The Wrong Case, The Last Good Kiss, Dancing Bear, The Mexican Tree Duck, Bordersnakes, The Last Country, and The Right Madness are seven detective novels. In 2008, he died in Missoula.
