Dan Heller graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a degree in Computer and Information Sciences. He has created end-user applications that incorporate a variety of widely-known user interface designs, such as SunView, Motif, and Open Look, as well as his own interface toolkit design. Dan has established his own company, Z-Code Software, which designs and builds X-based commercial applications. Z-Mail, the company's initial product, is an electronic mail program that works with Motif, Open Look, and nongraphical displays. Dan is also the author of the Motif Programming Manual by O'Reilly & Partners.
