Kay Boyle was a writer and political activist who lived from 1902 until 1992. She received two Guggenheim grants and the O. In 1935 and 1941, he won the Henry Prize for best short story of the year, received numerous honorary degrees, and served as the Henry James chair of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. The National Endowment for the Arts gave her a Senior Fellowship for Literature in 1981.
