A Year in Christine's Garden by Christine Walkden

An account of one woman's passion for plants. Recounting stories from the author's hectic life in horticulture, this diary is an account of octogenarian neighbours, living with a film crew and helping friends with their gardening needs.
Christine has been a horticulturist since the age of 10 when she first obtained an allotment and started growing vegetables and flowers, which she sold to her school teachers and local residents. Today she is a freelance plantswoman, lecturing nationally and internationally, leading field trips throughout the world. Her first TV show, Christine's Garden, was shown on BBC2 in winter 2006 and found an enthusiasm for a gentler way of life. Since then she has become a columnist for Amateur Gardening and Garden News.
