Chitra Soundar is a British author who grew up in Chennai, India. Her young fiction series Nikhil and Jay has been made into a CBeebies animation and her picture book, A Time to Hush and Say Good Night, is longlisted for the Jhalak Prize. Chitra is a co-founder of the SAILFEST festival and the holder of two prestigious Junior Library Guild gold medals in the US.
