Young Pocahontas in the Indian World by Helen Rountree
Thirty-eight pesticides were evaluated for toxicity and residues at the 2017 Joint Meeting of the FAO Panel of Experts on Pesticide Residues in Food and the Environment and the WHO Core Assessment Group on Pesticide Residues (JMPR). This included 8 new compounds and 5 compounds that were due for re-evaluation. The report contains recommendations on maximum pesticide residue limits and general principles for dietary risk assessment. These recommendations are proposed for use by governments and other interested parties. The JMPR report and evaluations are the only global reviews available of pesticide residue data.
