This book is a comprehensive manual of Yukidō care, providing critical and innovative reflection on the sensitive phenomena associated with touch and health.

Drawing on over thirty years of collaborative work linking the Japanese medical art Noguchi Seitai, traditional bonesetting, as well as personal research, Yukidō adopts an approach that questions commonly held healing beliefs and prejudices to move beyond them.

No one knows what the body can do. Yukidō takes Spinoza at his word, allowing the mind/body unity itself to indicate the most adequate response to its needs. The inclusion of detailed case studies - migraines, retractile capsulitis, pre-burnout, and restless legs syndrome - demonstrates how internal temperatures, consistencies, and movements function as the primary guides for the accompaniment gesture, complementing any ongoing medical care.
