Zebra's Hiccups by David Mckee
Zebra is much too proud to take the advice of the other animals to get rid of his hiccups. He is afraid that they will laugh at him. It is only when his hiccups get so bad that his stripes shift that he realizes that he must. Zebra finds out his friends only had his best interests at heart.
David McKee was brought up near Tavistock and studied at Plymouth Art College. His first book was published in 1964. His books are now published in many languages throughout the world, and many of them have been adapted for television. He is one of the most highly acclaimed contemporary children's book creators, and recently had a solo retrospective exhibition at Thomas Williams Fine Art Gallery.
