Alan G. Gauthreaux often makes historical presentations on a variety of topics in Louisiana and surrounding areas. His previous works may be found in America's Civil War, Civil War Illustrated and Globe Communications. He lives in Kenner, Louisiana, USA.

D. G. Hippensteel is a full-time criminal justice faculty member at Delgado Community College in New Orleans, USA. He is a Louisiana state certified peace officer having served with the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff's Office for two years and for the past ten years has been serving in the reserve division for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. A decorated Vietnam combat veteran, he lives in Marrero, Louisiana.
