In the East End of London at the turn of the 20th century, life - and love - has never been less straightforward. As 16-year-old Jane waits outside the pub for her three beloved brothers, Shaun, Pat and Rory, she is harassed by local bully Barney and an old rivalry between the lads is reignited.
