Summary
The Honourable Rayburn Lyle, Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, returns home to find a bomb planted in his sitting-room and a woman kneeling near it. He pulls her to safety and learns she is Viola Brandon. Their lives become interwoven against a background of Suffragette violence.
