This novel by the author of "The Ring of Bells", "The Song of the Rainbird" and "The Salt Rakers", is set in the time of the Huguenot persecutions, and tells the tale of a young woman, Charlotte Bonnet, who falls in love with two very different men, both of whom are Huguenot escapees.
