Simply Red Summary

Simply Red: The Official Story by Brian Southall

Between the awards ceremonies, world tours, writing and making hit records, Mick Hucknall has found the time to lead a colorful private life. He has attracted more than his fair share of attention from the world's tabloid press. But he is a famously private man, and up to now has revealed little about the history of the band and the part he has played in it. Here, in the only official Simply Red biography, he talks about his inspirations, the stories behind his biggest songs, his fellow band-members and the music business itself, while also talking in depth about his greatest influences and heroes. Embellished with photographs, many never before seen from Hucknall's personal collection, Simply Red: The Official Story offers a fascinating insight into one of the biggest bands to emerge in the past three decades, and also a revealing portrait of the man who founded it.
