About David Gledhill

David Gledhill trained as a mechanical engineer and joined the gas industry in 1950. Initially he was concerned with gas manufacture, but soon with the use of gas by industry and commerce. While studying the history of gas, he became interested in gas lighting and has built up a collecting of gas lights, many of which are shown in this book.
