What has made the world as we know it? What is the crucial invention of the 20th century? The computer, air travel, the telephone, or the Internet? Or would it be the razor blade, the battery, the ballpoint pen or the brassiere? These trivial things, which we take for granted, have changed our lives beyond recognition.
