David Pytches asserts that God does speak today, to people in their everyday situations, and provides instances where God can be said to have been at work. The book contains many such accounts; some from his and his wife's pastoral and personal experiences; some from other sources in the world. The book also contains many cautionary tales - people who claim to have heard God's word, only to be proven disastrously wrong. The book concludes with a balanced section on the Biblical teaching on guidance. Bishop David Pytches, having served many years in Latin America as the Bishop of Diocese of Chile, Bolivia and Peru, is now the rector of St Andrew's, Chorleywood, Herts.
