About Davies Nicola

Nicola Davies has been fascinated by the natural world since she was very young. Graduating from King's College, Cambridge with an honours degree in Zoology, she went on to become a television and radio presenter (she is perhaps best known as apresenter of The Really Wild Show), writer and producer. Amongst her books for children are three other Walker titles: Big Blue Whale, One Tiny Turtle and Wild About Dolphins. Nicola lives in Devon with her husband and their two children. Sarah Fox-Davies met a pipistrelle bat in her house while she was illustrating this book - it even landed on her arm! Sarah has illustrated many books for children, including Little Caribou (which she also wrote), Walk with a Wolf by Janni Howker, and Little Beaver and the Echo, by Amy MacDonald. Sarah lives in Wales.
