Young Tod Golightly is a highwayman, leader of a notorious band of robbers. His accomplices are a wise old donkey, a large but not very fierce mastiff, a magpie and a ferret. When Tod is captured by the Bow Street runners, this unlikely crowd have to save him from the hangman's noose.
