Based on interviews with Endler, the conductor tells his life story, recalling his childhood and various stages of his career, including his appointment in Ulm and in Aachen during the Second World War, his work with the Berlin Philarmonic, the Vienna State Opera and the Salzburg festival and his plans for the future, in desiring to place all his musical interpretations on record.
