As James Jones waited for his heart operation and began to recover from it, he had Psalms with him day and night. These reflections, based on each occasion the word "heart" is used in Psalms (seventy times), invite the reader to make a new relationship with Psalms and with the familiar translations in the Book of Common Prayer. They include a prayer to say in response to each meditation.
