The Riven Kingdom: Godspeaker: Book Two by Karen Miller

'Truly awe-inspiring fantasy on a massive scale.' - Bookgasm.com

'A skilfully created world of ritual and tradition provides a stunning backdrop for her exciting adventures.' - RT Book Reviews (Top Pick!)

The King of Ethrea is dying and his only surviving heir is the Princess Rhian, but if her enemies have their way, the kingdom will not be ruled by a Queen.

Ethrea, a small island of strategic importance, is known for its ability to keep the secrets of its business partners. Now civil war threatens as men of ambition eye the empty throne, and the other nations are getting nervous ... and greedy. If Rhian cannot secure the crown, others will descend and conquer her lands.

A toymaker and a mysterious exile from Mijak may be her only hope ...

The second volume of Karen Miller's epic fantasy of power, politics and the rise and fall of empires.

The Riven Kingdom Reviews

A writer who seems set to rule the genre -- WATERSTONES BOOKS QUARTERLY
Miller is clearly a very talented writer: her characterisation is a masterclass in nuance and sensitivity, and she has a visceral way with action ... a compelling portrait of a blighted world in the company of flawed, fascinating people -- SFX
