Praise for I AM A TYRANNOSAURUS and I AM AN ANKYLOSAURUS:
'The texts are deceptively simple but complement the stunning illustrations ... telling a compelling story through words and image.'

Still remembering her splendid THINK OF AN EEL, I've been hoping for some more Karen Wallace to read and, 'Whoopee', here we are. I'm not much of a one for dinosaurs but [this book is] a delight. ... And then there's Wallace's masterly way with words. Pared to a minimum with no syllable wasted, [her] texts are comparable with Mayne or Morpurgo - they could happily join an anthology of verse or be set to music... Books like these pave the way for an absorbing interest in fossils and the prehistory pantheon... Absolutely great! And, oh yes, fine pictures from Mike Bostock. For anyone from 3 to 10. * Books for Keeps *
Through beautiful collour illustrations and a very selective text, we read of the life of a flying form [of dinosaur] ... This is an ideal picture and information book especially for 3 to 6-year-olds. * School Librarian *

I really enjoyed reading .. the pictures are really bright and colourful. I am 6 and I enjoyed the story ... the words were really clear to read and the writing was a bit wiggly which was fun to look at. * KidAround *
Text and pictures complement each other perfectly in these two stunningly llustrated books. They are violent but no doubt true to life at the time. * Carousel *
