About L. Frank Baum

Stella Gurney is the author of Snow White, Pinocchio and Puss in Boots for Carlton. She also co-wrote the best-selling monster-puppet series illustrated by Sam Lloyd, which includes Calm Down, Boris! (Richard & Judy's Best Book for Christmas 2006) and You're Not So Scary Sid (short listed for the Sheffield Children's Book Award). Stella lives in London and has two young boys. Lorna Freytag's work fuses together her love for photography, illustration and children's stories. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, she applies her unique and quirky style to editorial and commercial jobs, private portraits and fine art projects. Lorna's first book for children is the recently published Wild Child, a collaboration with author Jeanne Willis (Walker Books). She lives in Glasgow and has a young daughter.
