New Zealand's national parks include some of the world's most spectacular landscapes - the rock formations at Punakaiki, the volcanoes of the central North Island, the bushclad mountains in Fiordland, the harbours of the far north. Two hundred photographs capture the range and beauty of these landscapes. Geological structures are shown in sharp relief in aerial photographs taken by Lloyd Homer. The text offers an interpretation of the ways in which the landscapes have been formed.
