Railways have permeated Michael Carrier's life for as long as he can remember, and before the war his father took many superb photographs. The result is this exciting selection of rare views frozen in time and showing many vintage locomotives and scenes that had disappeared by the time railway photography became a more widespread pastime in the 1950s.
