Summary

Poetry from the working-class view of the life and times of an octogenarian old man

No Holds Barred Summary

No Holds Barred by Peter R. Wicks

In my journey down life's highway my history has covered World War 2 and all other wars since then. These experiences have left an indelible mark on my memory bank and turned me into a very cynical person on all things human, especially where politicians and establishment figures are concerned. Many of my poems are of a radical nature and express my dislike of those who exploit the poor and the underclass of this world, which has resulted in me becoming an atheist and a republican in my outlook as regards the future of Britain. I hope that my poems give the reader an insight into my world, make them smile at my radical expressions and help people to remember the past and the present and how actions taken by individuals and the nation have affected us all.
