About Philip Plisson

Philip Plisson is a highly acclaimed marine photographer who, in 1999, was admitted into the exclusive group Peintres de la Marine (Offcial Painters of the French Navy). His work comprises more than 220,000 images and 26 books published in the past 10 years. Anne Jankeliowitch wrote the captions for the book The Earth from Above and has contributed to various nature-related books, including P. Plisson's La mer au jour le jour. John Pendray is an official painter for the French Navy. His interest is in showing the relationship between men, ships and sea. He exhibits in Europe and also works on commission.
