About Roberto J. Rengel (University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA)

Roberto J. Rengel, MArch, MIArch, IDEC, IIDA, is a Professor of Interior Design at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he teaches courses on professional practice, commercial design and placemaking. He holds a MArch degree from Tulane University and a MIArch degree from the University of Oregon. Rengel's research focuses on issues of spatial order, experiential richness and design process related to the built environment. Prior to his academic career, he practised commercial interior designer for 15 years with Gensler and Associated Space Design.
